Changwei Mu
Senior Director, Chemistry
Mr. Changwei (Charles) Mu joined Pharmaron in 2004 and was promoted to the positions of Group Leader in 2005, Associate Director of Chemistry in 2006, Director of Chemistry in 2009, and Senior Director of Chemistry in 2011. Mr. Mu’s experience covers modern heterocyclic chemistry, organometallic chemistry and carbohydrate chemistry. Over the last three years, Mr. Mu has been co-managing a department of medicinal chemistry with nearly 50 staff members. His scientific and managerial experiences range from fast-generation of small molecule libraries to synthesis of complex drug molecules in various stages of the drug discovery including hit-to-lead and lead optimization, and scale-up for preclinical development.
Mr. Mu received his M.Sc. in organic chemistry from China Agricultural University in 2003.
