Chengwei Fang, Ph.D.

Dr. Chengwei Fang completed his Ph.D. in Plant and Soil Sciences from University of Delaware in 1999. He joined the Environmental Fate Group of DuPont Agrochemical Division in the same year as a Visiting Scientist. He moved to BASF in 2000 as a Research Chemist in the Environmental Chemistry, and later Environmental Fate and Metabolism Department. In 2004, he moved to Merck Research Laboratory, where he was a Research Fellow in the Biochemical Toxicology Group within MRL’s Safety Assessment Department. He joined AstraZeneca in 2006 as a Senior Scientist and Discipline Leader in the Department of Discovery DMPK in Wilmington, Delaware.
Dr. Fang's industry experience includes GLP and non-GLP bioanalysis supporting Toxicology and DMPK projects. He led the bioanalytical process improvement initiatives at Merck and AstraZeneca. He has presented more than 20 talks/posters at conferences and Universities, reviewed book chapters, and chaired sessions at major national conferences.
