Dr. Chang Bai Joins Pharmaron as Vice President of Biology -

Pharmaron today announced the appointment of Dr. Chang Bai as Vice President of Biology. Prior to joining Pharmaron, Dr. Bai was a Research Fellow at Merck, West Point, USA, where he worked for 12 years with a broad range of research areas, including endocrine, cell cycle and cancer, GPCR and nuclear receptors. He had been involved in a number of drug hunting projects at Merck and advanced three compounds into clinical trials. Dr. Bai obtained his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Baylor College of Medicine, USA, with Professor Stephen Elledge and post-doc training with Dr. C. Thomas Caskey at Merck Research Laboratories.
Dr. Bai will bring to Pharmaron over 12 years of his rich experience of scientific excellence and leadership in biology for drug discovery and development, which will help build up Pharmaron’s biology capacity, particularly in vitro biology, and further strengthen Pharmaron’s capacity and leadership in drug discovery and development, to serve our clients better.
