Dr. Connie Sun Joins Pharmaron as Senior Vice President of Oncology Chemistry -

Pharmaron announced today the appointment of Dr. Connie Sun as Senior Vice President of Oncology Chemistry. She was a Sr. Director of Medicinal Chemistry at Poniard Pharmaceuticals prior to joining Pharmaron. Previously, Dr. Sun held positions as Senior Director of Chemistry at AGY Therapeutics and Director of Chemistry at SUGEN (Pharmacia/Pfizer). Dr. Sun discovered and participated in the development of Sutent and Palladia marketed by Pfizer for the treatment of multiple cancers in human and dog, respectively.
Dr. Sun brings to Pharmaron over 16 years of her rich experience of leadership in oncology drug discovery and development, which will further strengthen Pharmaron’s capacity and leadership in drug discovery and development, to serve our clients better.
Dr. Sun obtained her Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill followed by post doctoral training at Parke Davis, Division of Warner Lambert (Pfizer).
