Dr. John Wei Joins Pharmaron as Vice President of Medicinal Chemistry -

Pharmaron announced today the appointment of Dr. John Wei as Vice President of Medicinal Chemistry. Prior to joining Pharmaron, Dr. Wei was a medicinal chemistry project leader at AstraZeneca R&D, Montreal, and was involved in drug discovery projects in the areas of CNS and pain management. Also, Dr. Wei’s group achieved several important milestones of advancing compounds into clinical trials. Dr. Wei brings over 18 years of pharmaceutical industry experience in medicinal chemistry to Pharmaron which will further strengthen our scientific leadership team.
Dr. Wei obtained his Ph.D. degree in Organic Chemistry at the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences and then completed his post-doc training at Alberta University, Canada, in Medicinal Chemistry.
