Dr. Wenfang Miao Joins Pharmaron as Vice President of Analytical Chemistry -

Pharmaron announced today the appointment of Dr. Wenfang Miao as Vice President of Analytical Chemistry. Prior to joining Pharmaron, Dr. Miao was a Senior Manager in Analytical Sciences Department at Elan Drug Delivery-Elan Pharmaceuticals, leading an analytical chemistry section in Analytical Development and cGMP Quality Control services to Elan internal and client-based product development projects from preclinical development to commercial manufacturing. Prior to her position at Elan, Dr. Miao was as a Principal Scientist in Pharmaceutical Development Division at GlaxoSmithKline responsible for Analytical Development, pre-formulation and QC for product development projects. She also led a CMC team at GSK to progress a compound from candidate selection to Phase II clinical trial.
Dr. Miao brings over 10 years of pharmaceutical industry experience in Analytical Chemistry and cGMP quality control to Pharmaron which will further strengthen our scientific leadership team.
Dr. Miao obtained her Ph.D. degree in Organic Chemistry at Texas Christian University. Her research area was in isolation, structural elucidation and synthesis of bioactive compounds from medicinal plants.
