Xing Cheng, M.D., Ph.D.
Director, Toxicology
Dr. Xing Cheng has 20 years of experience in toxicology, pharmacology and pharmacokinetic fields, including 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry managing and directing GLP and non-GLP nonclinical toxicology, pharmacology and pharmacokinetic studies in large and small animals. At Pharmaron, she supervises study directors and in-life teams and oversees the operation of the Toxicology Department. Her primary responsibility is to ensure the flawless execution of toxicology studies conducted at the lab. She also works closely with related team members to support the company’s project management and business development activities.
Prior to joining Pharmaron, Dr. Cheng worked at the Roche USA site as a Study Director and Investigative Laboratory head in the Non-Clinical Safety Department. She also served as a Team Leader and Senior Scientist in Toxicology and Pharmacology departments at Xenon and Cardio Pharmaceutical Incorporations in Canada. She also worked as an Associate Professor and Senior Researcher in academia in China and Canada.
Dr. Cheng holds a medical degree and Master degree in pharmacology and toxicology from China. Her Ph.D. was in Pharmacology and Therapeutics from University of British Columbia.
