Dr. Connie Sun is Senior Vice President, Global Head of Business Development, Small Molecules, leading the global sales organization for small molecules services, ranging from drug discovery, preclinical and CMC. She has played a key role in developing the small molecule business development strategy and driving long-term strategic partnerships with clients. Dr. Sun joined Pharmaron in 2009.
Prior to her current role, Dr. Sun held chemistry leadership roles at Poniard Pharmaceuticals, AGY Therapeutics and SUGEN/Pfizer. She is a co-author and co-inventor of 35 peer-reviewed scientific publications and 47 patent applications. Dr. Sun is an inventor of Sutent and Palladia, marketed by Pfizer for the treatment of multiple cancers in humans and dogs.
Dr. Sun received her B.S. in Medicinal Chemistry from Peking University, Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and post-doctoral training at Parke Davis, Division of Warner Lambert (Pfizer).
