Pharmaron is the recognized leader in using Accelerator Mass Spectrometry (AMS) technology. Our team is primarily focused on pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical R&D, employing Accelerator Mass Spectrometry (AMS) as a unique, alternative, ultra-sensitive ¹⁴C analytical tool to support both clinical and non-clinical metabolism programs. A wide of sample types can be analyzed including standard matrices (e.g. plasma, whole blood, urine, faeces etc), and additionally, more unusual matrices (e.g. bile, expired air traps, dialysate, tissue        
(tumor biopsies), CSF).

Advantages of using AMS technology include ultra-sensitive LLOQs (sub-pg equivalents per mL), no matrix interference and no sample carryover for the graphitization process.

Standard Clinical Designs:

• Mass balance and total [¹⁴C] by AMS (total radioactivity levels)
• Metabolite profiling by LC fractionation with detection by AMS
