Drug Resistance Mechanisms Cancer
Elucidation of Drug Resistance Mechanisms in Cancer Cells
Cancer treatment using single drugs frequently leads to resistance, resulting in disease recurrence. Employing drug combinations can mitigate resistance; however, the process of selecting suitable drugs for combination testing can be overwhelming. Uncovering the mechanisms underpinning drug resistance in cancer cells provides a rationale for the selection of drug combinations.
In this application note we present a case study with a CDK4/6 inhibitor employing a variety of methods to understand the strategy that tumor cell use to develop drug resistance to cancer treatments including:
– Reverse Phase Protein Array
– RNA Sequencing
– Cell Painting
– Pathway Identification
By contributing to the understanding of acquired drug resistance mechanisms, we can facilitate the development of more effective and tailored cancer treatment strategies.
